Quarter Sawn Oak Floors, Quartersawn Oak Flooring
Quartersawn oak flooring is recognized as some of the most beautiful flooring in the world.
White oak flooring that is quarter sawn is like no other wood in the world. It has the long radiated rays that are needed to create this spectacular rich "fleck" look (tiger stripe). Quartersawn white oak has historically been used in American mission style furniture, wine and whiskey barrel construction.
The art of quarter sawing oak, or quartersawn, like many superior practices of the past, has been replaced with plain sawing techniques that are easier, cheaper, and quicker, that produce a lower grade lumber.
We reclaim and recycled Barn wood beams, dead standing timbers, industrial timbers, barn boards, antique flooring and weathered wood siding. We supply these materials either as is or as re-sawn timbers, boards and quartersawn lumber to be remilled for the restoration, home construction and building trade industry.

Our quarter sawn white oak flooring is also created from responsibly harvested forests, that may contain dead fallen or dead standing trees (gypsy moth kill).
White oak was the wood of choice for building many of the barns, homes and buildings of our early American history. It is a very strong stable wood that resists rot and wear.
The old white oak lumber that is reclaimed is dry, tight grained, and beautiful, with an aged, rich patina and a fleck character that is unmatched in any other wood.
Our rustic rift and quartersawn flooring, White Oak Flooring starts at $5.95 sq foot.
